Here is the second of our crafty Christmas creations (any my *favourite*), sweet singing “Perry-Angles” complete with signature side-ponytail ;)

A few Saturday's ago I woke with an itch to sew something, and since Little P is so taken by dolls (in any shape, size, colour) I thought I'd try making her a rag-doll.
I am absolutely *smitten* with the result and so is Little P :)
Pssssssssst…. Lola has a friend but we can't introduce you to her yet as she is a Christmas present for Miss T, but stay posted some pic's are only 15 sleeps away ;)

You can make a mobile with these shapes, or just cut them out and tack them to the wall or ceiling, or use them to make a collage for your baby to look at in the car (glue shapes to cardboard or fabric, pin to seat in front of baby).

Materials:
|
GIF (click on images) | PDF |
Time:
30min to an hour
Instructions:
1. Print out the shapes, two copies of each sheet.
2. Cut almost all the way around one shape set, but leave the section where the shapes almost touch uncut:

3. Then fold the shapes in half matching up as much as possible ' apply some glue to the non-printed sides of the shapes ' then trim any "wonky" bits.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all of the shapes you wish to use for your mobile.
4. Once you have all your shapes prepared the next step is to "string" them together, the trick here is to get a combination of "side" and "bottom" views that will be interesting for your baby.

It is easier to "string" the shapes together in sections and to leave stringing them to the top wire frame to the very last so that you can play around with the balance and lengths. Thread through middle of "bottom" view shape (A) up to the bottom middle of "side" view shape (B). Then using a different piece of thread, thread through the top middle of "side" view shape (C) up to the wire frame that hangs everything (D) BUT don't secure it to the wire frame yet, leave this step to last so that you can play around with the balance and lengths.

Repeat this step for all of the shapes you wish to use for your mobile.
5. Once you have completed threading all of the stands of shapes you wish to use for your mobile, you need to then secure them to the top wire frame. This may take a little trial-an-error to get the balance right.
6. Hang and enjoy!

The gorgeous Miss T was christened this weekend and one of our gifts to her was a jewellery box (made with love by us)...

What do you get when you cross a headless Elite Force Body Builder with a bodiless Keroro Sergeant... METROBOY of course!
Larry and I customised this doll as a Christmas present for our very dear friend "Metroboy".

This year Little P is much more capable in the crafty sense (although heavy “no you can’t eat paste” supervision is still required)… so I thought it might be fun to make some of our Christmas decoration, and give some to those who’ve been *nice*.
So here is the first of our creations…. Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, who’s antlers are actually cut-outs of Little P’s hands:

For months now I have been trying to find *funky* shoes/booties for Little P that fit her properly and don't cost a fortune... and thanks to internet I've found the perfect solution - I've made my own!
Met the latest additions to Little P's softies collection…. Daddy, AKA: Hacker and Little P, AKA: Tree-lover.
I made these guys as Larry's Father's Day present and although not as funny as his Mother's Day present to me, I think they're just as unique... especially with their fully loaded features that only a Hacker and Tree-lover could appreciate - raspberry blowing tongues, super-star arms and happy-dancin' legs!

The pattern was adapted
from the ever-lovely Nest Studios' "Mini Moopy":

Following on from the "Bootie-licious" slippers I made "Little P" recently, I decided to try a BIGGER version as a birthday present for "Aunty P"...and a matching pair for "Miss T" ;-)

I think this is the *cutesiest* thing I've subjected Little P too so far… its a pinafore, bloomers and funky red booties I made for her to wear to Miss T's christening.
Meet the newest addition to "Little P's" softies
collection - Percy; he's a strapping 30cm, self-sitting elephant with flappy
ears and arms for her to hold and chew:
